Life is exciting right now for Dominika Fowler who has just completed her Health and Social Care Apprenticeship Level 3 with Quest Vocational Training.
Dominika explains: “I started working in care approximately two years ago and I haven’t looked back! I have really enjoyed the journey and the many challenges I have faced as a care worker. It has made me realise this is what I was destined to do!”
Dominika continues: “I was keen to learn everything I possibly could about working in a care facility; this was very important to me. I quickly realised that doing an Apprenticeship was the best option for me as it was learning practical skills in the workplace. This was something that was encouraged by my employer who was so supportive throughout my Apprenticeship. I progressed from my Level 2 in Health and Social Care straight onto my Level 3. It has improved my skills without a question of doubt!”
Ivy Jackman, Dominika’s Health and Social Care Assessor confirms: “At the beginning Dominika needed a lot of support. I felt that once her Apprenticeship units were selected it became clearer to Dominka what she needed to achieve. Dominika was such a hard worker and she was determined to do well. Recently presenting Dominika with her Apprenticeship certificates was a real accolade to her resounding dedication.”
Dominika talks about her future plans with a real passion for what might lie ahead: “Every day is different for me. A typical day will involve checking emails, dealing with problems, scheduling supervisions, appraisals, service reviews and quality assurance visits. I love the variety of tasks I can accomplish at work.”
Dominika concludes: “I’ve got a lifestyle change looming, I am moving to Cornwall with my family. I wish to continue working in the care industry in a management capacity where I can share my skills and vision for the future.”
