The aim of this course is to provide an understanding of the importance of safeguarding children and young people. This is designed for anyone who comes in to contact with children or young people during work, leisure or voluntary activities. This course will give people an understanding of the legislation and guidance surrounding safeguarding and the protection of children.
This package is for staff within residential and domiciliary environments, family carers, personal assistants, health care assistants, support workers or senior support workers working with clients in a variety of care settings, or those people intending to work with clients with whom need assistance with their individual personal requirements.
This package can be offered as two half day sessions or delivered as a full day on-‐site or at one of our centres.
This course is in line with the latest government legislation and guidance including Working Together to Safeguard Children 2010, "What to do if you're worried a child is being abused"
