Overview

This qualification provides candidates with the skills and knowledge to qualify as a paediatric first aider.


Who will benefit?

This accredited qualification is ideal for those who wish to become a Paediatric First Aider in the workplace with a responsibility for the welfare of infants and children.

The qualification maintains good practice in the safe, prompt and effective treatment of injuries and ill health of infants and children who are under the care of trained personnel. Subjects covered include the role of the paediatric first aider, assessment and procedures for emergency situations, procedures for infant and child first aid including shock, wounds and bleeding, and breathing difficulties.

  • Practise the skills needed to administer first aid to an infant or child
